You will need to traverse 6 sections before
you will be able to speak to Igrid (6) about obtaining a Writ of Fate.
|
|
When you arrive (1) take the scroll (2) from
the wall. Read it, but don't read too much into it. It is not all that complex.
It is the instructions on how to get past the first section.
|
|
Section 1: Navigate the Bridge
After reading the scroll you should be able to determine you need to touch
the statues along the bridge in the order they appeared on the scroll. (When
you touch the skeleton for the first time you can run and try to leap to the
other bridge section before it is too high to reach. If you don't make it
don't worry too much about it. Just hop in the water and swim over near the
Banshee and hop out of the water onto the bridge section there. After this
you will be able to maneuver on the bridge without getting wet again.)
- Skeleton
- Banshee
- Lich
- Zombie
- Banshee
- Lich
- Zombie
- Skeleton
|
Touching the statues raises the bridge
up to a point where you can hop onto the ledge with the crystal (3). Just
walk into the crystal to be taken to the next section. (Each time you encounter
a crystal simply walk into them.)
|
|
|
Section 2: Cross the Chasm
This next area is a cavern with a chasm. Walk the ledge all the way around
until you can touch the skeleton statue. This opens the way for you to get
to the next crystal but it also triggers all the Banshee statues to start
firing projectiles. Get your timing and move past them to the crystal.
|
|
|
Section 3: Cross the Forest
Walk through the pair of secret doors to enter this forest like area. Here
you will face a Colloidal warrior. Defeat him and then open the secret door
(4) to the east. Loot the chests there and proceed to the door with the crystal
behind it. It should open now and you can walk to the crystal.
|
|
|
Section 4: Swim the Lake
Follow the tunnel to a point where you need to crouch to continue on. Shoot
the sea monster then drop into the pool below and follow the underwater
tunnel, it will drop you into a lake. There is a female sea monster here
you need to kill. Once she has been killed the cage surrounding the crystal
on the small island will open and you will be able to move on.
|
|
|
Section 5: Adjust the Mirrors
You will now find yourself in a desert like area. You will also probably
get your first glimpse of the Meddler. Not knowing who or what he was we attacked
and asked questions later. It doesn't do any good to attack and he isn't
antagonistic at this time. Just ignore him if he pops in and go on about
your business.
|
|
|
This section takes a bit of work. There
is a Beam Shooter at 5a, mirrors at points 5b through 5e, and a crystal at
5f. Position the mirrors so the beam bounces off one to the next up until
the crystal is hit with the beam. Once the crystal is hit the alcove doors
(X) open releasing several Terrors. Deal with them, loot the chests, and
proceed to the next section.
|
|
|
Section 6: Be Righteous
Its a little tough to read in the dark but the message on the wall says
"be righteous". This simply means take the path to the right. There are Ghosts
all along this hallway just fight your way past them to get into the room
with the floor plates.
|
|
|
The plates all have a different number
of lines on them: I, II, III, IIII. Step onto them in the following order
3,1,2,4. Remain on the last plate as it rises. Hop to the ledge and continue
on. Again the passage is clogged with ghosts. Battle your way past them and
soon you will be able to ask Igrid for your Writ of Fate.
|
|
|
Igrid sends you on a quest to place
the Capstone of Order in Verhoffin Ruins. In order to get the Capstone you
will need to travel to the Gathering in Guberland and seek out Thorir Mouth.
Fortunately for you this room where Igrid is has a convenient teleporter (7)
to Guberland
.
