Titan Stronghold Walkthru & Strategy Tips

The room in the
dark red square contains the chest with the Perfect Bow.
It is only there after you receive the Promotion quest! |
We managed this dungeon at level 14 and
nothing was left standing or flying. The best thing to do here is use an
invisibility spell and just go get the bow right away and equip it.
|
After getting the bow head back toward
the entrance but instead of taking the stairs south to the entrance continue
east.
|
Turn north and continue up the hallway
until you enter the square room lined with pillars. Proceed up the
stairs and then take out the dragon(s) in this room. This will be the
single most difficult battle you will need to experience here.
|
Huh? What? No I'm not nuts!
Listen and learn. After taking out any dragons heal up and save then
search the bodies. I recommend holding out for any kind of bow as long
as the enchantment is carnage. (Remember there are plenty more here to get
an Artifact
or Relic
from later.) With that explosive impact you don't need to hit the enemy
just hit something close and you nail the bad guys. (We got a lowly
longbow of carnage and it was our most devastating weapon, I goobered and
did this before getting the quest, the bow was here later, but not when I
needed it.) |
Once you get whatever goodies you decide
to settle for, proceed at a walk (take the always run off if you have it
on) south down the hall laying on the A key the whole way. As soon
as your messages indicate you're doing damage to something then inch forward
just until you can see what it is you're hitting and come to a complete stop.
Keep on the A key and the titans are too thick to realize where the attack
is coming from and they just shuffle back & forth where they are.
When they drop proceed down the hall doing the same thing along every hallway.

These guys are at about every
intersection and corner. A few are in rooms but mostly the rooms seemed
to be reserved for dragons. The one exception seems to be that small
room in the east with the 3 antechambers. For some reason 2-3 titans
squeeze themselves in there. They occasionally mysteriously "disappear".
They will show up with the wizard eye spell and if you go in the room you
bump in to them but you can't see them. You can actually stand there
and beat the stuffin' out of 'em without getting hurt, but no bodies once
they die. We just went out of the dungeon and came back in, ran to
the room and dispatched anything visible. Then repeated the process
if necessary. What can I say we were young and greedy.
