The Monsters of Emerald Island

Photo The most proliferate indigenous fauna are the dragonflies. In addition to the normal variety and their queen, there is an unusual fire spitting species. Be sure to use the resources available to you to boost your fire resistance lest you become the Scavenger Hunt Bar-B-Queued main course AKA Hero on a Stick.
Photo Every spelunker knows the most famous cave dwellers, bats. Here on Emerald Island the caves can harbor unusual species of this flying rodent. I've heard tell some unfortunate adventurers have run across things from nightmares, an unusual vampire like species and an equally unusual fire breathing bat called simply, the Inferno Bat.
Photo If you have an abhorrence of  8 legged denizens then beware.  The giant spider and his closely related cousin the venomous spider were in the Temple of the Moon. We've heard rumors of the deadliest of species roaming these caves, the Widowmaker! Fortunately, for the married gents among us, we didn't get a glimpse of one this time.
Photo AH! The trill of victory! Naturally you knew there were rats in the caves too didn't you? Be on the lookout for that little greenish colored fellow there, his lightening attack took us quite by surprise. He is closely related to the fire and giant rat, notorious for  carrying diseases.  Be sure your alchemist whips up a few cure disease potions to keep on hand.
Photo Last but not least we have the protector of Emerald Island.  You can see he has already fricasseed a few of those pesky rats. When speaking with Mia Lucille we learned that this grand specimen keeps the island free of pirates and other undesirables. Ummm.... I think that also might include nosey adventurers.  WE'RE OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!
