That shield there belongs to one of those missing
contestants and Lord Markham has a reward for those brave, or foolhardy,
enough to grab it.

There is also a longbow on the right just past
what's left of one of those missing contestants.

And just what is that message scroll
there? I wonder. Grab everything and run while Red's busy with those other
intruders, they should provide just enough of a distraction for you to get
the goods and hightail it out of here. You can of course race around the
cave grabbing everything in sight and probably still get out of there with
your hide, if you're quick enough.

| For those who really are determined,
Red has been slain by persistent if not totally insane adventurers. Of course
we were among the insane ones and carted off some nice treasure. Strategies
vary, but keeping up a running attack around the perimeter of his lair with
a good wizard eye spell seems to be the most successful tactic thus far. Although
I think it took us a week after the battle to walk a semi straight line again. |
