It would seem that in wiz4 you are required to enter passcodes as you advance in levels of the dungeon. Unfortunately there are over 40 pages of them!!!

I didn't find any hint & tip pages specifically for Wizardry 4, but, a lot of the info from these Wizardry 1 guides applys to Wizardry 4 as well.
