Ascension Quests |
These quests all revolve around gathering the 3 Artifacts needed to Ascend. There are several things that must be done and each item has a series of little quests to follow along the way. This page will deal with each Artifact and the series of actions that will ultimately lead to obtaining the item. (Some steps listed are not required and can be performed out of sequence or not at all but are listed here as a chronicle of the events.) |
At some point you will likely encounter Bela, a vendor or so it seems. He knows a great deal about "Ascending" and the Cosmic Lords. He will actually tell you to find the 3 Artifacts and Disarm the bomb in the Tower of Arnika. He is also the only one to meet you on Ascension Peak at the entrance to the Cosmic Circle. Bela will lead the way to the final confrontation. |

Astral Dominae |
Reward: Gain possession of the Astral Dominae.
Reward: Gain possession of the Fake Astral Dominae. Reward: He'Li, He'Li's Bar, Arnika will give you an Ale. Reward: Optional: Kill Don Barlone and Milano for 3 to 7 items from Don Barlone's Drop Treasure List and a Fire Bomb, Jazeraint Tunic, Leather Boots, Stud Chausses, Thieves Dagger, random number of Throwing Stilettos, plus 1-2 more items from Milano's Drop Treasure List. |
Arnika-Trynton Road #3: Rattus Rattus when asked about the Dark Savant tells you what to say in order to get in to see his boss Don Barlone. [SAVANT, DARK SAVANT] |
Rattkin Tree #4: You will need to tell Milano a password to get an audience with Don Barlone. [SAVANT, DARK SAVANT, ASTRAL DOMINAE] Your first encounter with the Rattkin Razuka Godfather, Don Barlone, results in him giving you some background info and then he tells you to return to him later. |
Swamp: Encounter the Dark Savant and gain possession of the Fake Astral Dominae. He usually shows up on a crack or dark patch of ground where swamp gas is released when stepping onto it. |
Rattkin Tree #4: Return to Don Barlone after the Dark Savant appears in the Swamp. The last step in obtaining the Astral Dominae is complete. Obtain the Astral Dominae by forking over around 90,000 gold. If you don't have a need for the Don's services it can be obtained via force. |
Chaos Moliri |
Reward: Gain possession of the Chaos Moliri
Reward: He'Li, He'Li's Bar Arnika will give you a Tincture of Shadows. All others are chronicled on the Umpani and T'Rang Quest pages. |
The Chaos Moliri requires a bit more effort. You first perform a series of quests for either the T'Rang or the Umpani before you can even get close to it. Once those quests are performed Chaos is all yours. Or you can kill Z'Ant or Yamir to gain a Mook Alliance Letter. |
Arnika, Townhall: After encountering the Dark Savant in the Swamp, pick up the fake Astral Dominae he leaves behind. This can then be used to obtain the Chaos Moliri and maintain a peaceful standing with the Mook. Simply pick up the Chaos Moliri and after the Mook warning grab the fake Astral Dominae from your pack and place it back where the Chaos Moliri had rested. Otherwise obtain the Chaos Moliri via force. |
Destinae Dominus |
The real adventure revolves around the Destinae Dominus. This Artifact actually resided in the Higardi Monastery for ages where your adventure usually begins. A man named Marten decided to pull off the heist of the century and ran off with it, which certainly doesn't make things very easy for you. There are multiple hints and clues pointing you in its general direction and about half the quest of finding it revolves around detective work. |
Reward: Gain possession of the Destinae Dominus
Reward: He'Li, He'Li's Bar Arnika will give you an Ale and a Spell Book of Heal All. |
Arnika: Gain access to the HLL Building to speak to Tramain. To gain entry to the building you must first have Marten's Badge in your pack. The badge can be found in Marten's Locker in the Arnika Jail. |
Trynton Upper Branches #12: Learn your destiny.
Reward: 25,000 experience points. Details: You must buy a Mystery Potion from Fuzzfas and pick some ZuZu flowers in the Rising Elms (#7) . Take these to the 7th Bough (#12) and use them. Speak to the Trynnie Shaman when he appears. |
Lower Marten's Bluff #8: Find "the words" requested by the Shaman. To gain entrance to Marten's Secret Chambers you need to click on the painting at #5. Answer Marten to the query. Then read the Diary on the stand beside Marten's bed. |
Marten's Bluff #6: Obtain Marten's Idol. You can gain access to this
area by throwing the switch on the wall (#4). Gaining access to the switch
is the difficult part. There are 3 ways of reaching it. Once the switch
is thrown come to this location and take possession of the idol.
1) Use the "combat sneak" to run past the T'Rang sentries in Lower Marten's Bluff #14. Follow the passage south to a large room which houses the teleporter from the T'Rang Mothership and wait for a T'Rang Younger to teleport in. Wait near the south door and exit the room when it opens. Turn east and proceed to Marten's Bluff . 2) Traverse the Old Mines Tunnels and enter Lower Marten's Bluff from the east. Turn north in the room where the pool of green water is and proceed up the passage until you see a passage heading west. Follow the west passage and proceed into Marten's Bluff. 3) If allied with the Umpani wait until General Yamir in Mt. Gigas Upper Caves (#12) issues the Umpani Quest to Destroy the T'Rang Mothership. Enter Lower Marten's Bluff from the elevator on Marten's Bluff (#3). Use the Pulse Pick given by the General on the doors marked #3. AFter opening the second door exit the room to the north. Follow the passage until you come to a passage to the west. Follow the west passage and enter Marten's Bluff. |
Obtaining the Idol has a nasty little repercussion, one of your party members will be kidnapped. It can be handled one of four ways: |
Reward: (for killing the frog) 75,000 experience
Reward: (for killing Crock) random amount of gold, Eau D'Rapax Perfume, Large Prism, Magic Polish, Voltage Amplifier, 2-8 random items from Crock's Treasure Drop List and 3-5 random items from Crock's Chest. Swamp #1: Crock will demand you kill an oversized frog named Brekek which can be found at point #5. 1) Kill the frog.

Sea Caves #15: Gain entrance to Marten's Tomb and obtain the Destinae

Reward: 400,000 experience and the Destinae Dominus. You can obtain the Destinae Dominus by speaking to Marten. Alternate Reward: Death Shroud, Destinae Dominus, Key to Marten's Tomb Alternate: Kill Marten. |

Reward #1: 500,000 experience
Reward #2: See Lord Braffit in the Arnika Temple and tell him the "Bomb is deactivated" for 40,000 experience. |
Savant Tower, Arnika: Deactivate the bomb. To deactivate the bomb you must enter the Upper Rapax Castle and make your way to the Prince's Playroom (#6) near the Rapax Zoo. Enter the playroom then wind up the Statue there. Click the spear of the statue and it will move the bed aside revealing a chute. Go down the chute and pick up the key on the table in the room. Take this key to the King's Bedchamber and use it on the tiny keyhole in the wall (#10). Enter the portal here to the Savant's Tower. Make your way to the control panel (#1) and press the shapes until you get the proper deactivation sequence. Usually when facing the panel pressing the leftmost shape first then pressing the third one from the left second deactivates the bomb. |
Ascending |
Reward: Opens passage so the Cosmic Circle can be accessed.
Ascension Peak: Place the three Artifacts in their designated receptacles in any order. You must answer two riddles for Altheides to gain access to the receptacle for each Artifact. |
