I have been out of the loop for awhile but I am trying to get back in to the swing of things. I am also hosting the Christian Coder's mod and Fuego Star's new demo of his coming mod.
Thanks to Nomad for sending me Deathstalker's 3.0 mod complete with the Trynton patch. Both are now available below. I am also playing around with terrains in the Lower Monastery and wanted to share a screenshot of the Monastery in winter with you. Let me know what you think. I doubt I will make a winter mod but this sure turned out pretty. Enjoy! |

Fuego Star's Mod Demo. Fuego Star has done some unique things with this mod and I really think you should give it a look. Bear in mind it is only a Demo and not a full mod. At this time I think the demo is playable through the monastery but I tell ya what, that door to Arnika Rd... NO TOUCHY! Do not go out that door... I mean it... Ok don't say I didn't warn ya!
Christian Coder's Mod. Briefly, there have been alterations to the spell system and now characters with the Artifacts skill can make the double and triple shot versions of those weapons with that capability. New items, alterations to character classes adding new capabilities, and allowing or restricting certain item usage. For all the details visit his web site. Flame's New Mod
version 1.1 (note: this is the latest mod) - Corrects several problems from the version 1.0 release.
Installation Instructions are separate from the mod this time since many folks had difficulty locating the file previously. This is a text file so it will likely open in your browser rather than download. Either open the file and print the page or right click on the link and use the Save Target As option on the pop up menu. Save the installation instructions to Desktop for quick easy access. |

W4st_Transparent_Compasses.zip - is a simple graphic mod that makes the Radar and Formation panels transparent so that you can see through them. The mod makes no alterations to any game files, it merely unpacks some graphic files, and so will be compatible with all other mods (assuming they don't modify the compasses either). There's a screenshot included in the file that shows what the effect looks like.
Deathstalker's Mod, version 3.0
Deathstalker's Mod, version 3.0 - Trynton Patch, fixes the crashing problem when trying to enter Trynton.
Random_Passerby's Random Mod, version 0.2, as the name might imply, the main feature of this mod is that virtually all of the new items appear quite randomly and are at least moderately rare, and item distribution in general has been made a bit more varied.
FlameFinalMod-version4d.zip
- Corrects more problems with various items. Adds a new Monk weapon which
is only sold by Lord Braffit. The item is a level 6 item and will be offered
randomly for purchase at the same time a spell book of Banish would be
offered. (If the level sensor works like I think it should any way.) The
"Monk's Staff" requires 80 Dexterity and Speed and a Staff & Wand skill
of 75.
All files will be needed for the update as some graphics were corrected and of course a new one added. |

The following save game uses FlameFinalMod-version4c or later. If you
do not have this mod version installed you will not be able to run this
game. My Ninja, Ninja, Monk, Monk party encountered all the rarities in
the Northern Wilderness Retro Dungeon. Kaos Kubes and a second randomly
spawned Hoarder Slime. In addition they have the ever elusive Dungeon Priest
and cohorts. Which, as I am discovering, are on a roll and keep respawning
every few moments in there so the group is hanging out for awhile to collect
hearts. If you've never seen Kubes or seen a second Hoarder then this game
will be a little treat for you to try out.
For those folks who get easily confused in these dungeons I have "borrowed" a map from Wolfie's site since it is more printer friendly than mine. A path is marked in red to show you how to get where these creatures are. The second Hoarder is roaming a hallway very near where his fixed compatriot resides and his path is marked in blue so you may encounter him in any portion of that marked hallway. The 2 Kubes are in a room and will not wander from it. Have fun! NWRetro.zip |

Stu's Mod - This mod focuses
on changing existing equipment in the game (while filling some "holes"
with new equipment). It makes weapon usage skill based. It also reduces
the ability to mix potions for money and attempts to better balance weapons
and armor.
Stu's mod has been updated to correct a few prblems, please be sure to download and install this new version if you are currently running this mod. |

Graphic only mod Download: w8graphicmod.zip - This mod simply uses some of the SirTech graphics that did not appear in the game but were contained in the graphic database. No other alterations or additions were made to the game with the exception of a few existing item bug corrections.
