Ranger

The nature-lover of Wizardry 8, the Ranger enjoys a talent for scouting out things such as secret passages and hidden items. Their keen senses allow them to search constantly, without effort or delay. Much like Robin Hood, a classic of this profession, Rangers are excellent archers. Their deadly accurate aim allows them to occasionally kill an opponent with a single arrow. Around the fifth level of experience, Rangers slowly begin to learn Alchemist spells.

The Ranged Critical bonus of the Ranger is based on their skills. The higher the ranged combat and weapon skill, the more often you will see critical hits. A well developed Ranger with the Expert Skill of Eagle Eye is a sight to behold. Combined with weapon and ammunition modifiers that have a kill%, a Ranger can become a devastating force your opponents may not live long enough to engage in close combat.
