Find the Mountain Pass
Kira, Jarl of Thronheim is trying to discover whether or not this pass
exists and if it does indeed link up with Thjorgard. Basically all you need
to do to complete this quest is enter one side travel to the other end and
exit.

Depending on your level this pass could
prove to be a bit difficult. I attempted it when the party was a pretty low
level and it was a real struggle to get past the Winged Mutants. They just
love to break things, including little peons like us. We used Dark Grasp,
Curse, Bless, and Faith scrolls. We even tossed what few fire and elemental
runestones we had acquired. Eventually we made it through but I would not
recommend doing this while your party is still young.

On the bright side, this can be performed
before getting the actual quest with no negative side effects. We stumbled
into Thronheim from Thjorgard because we were too impatient to wait on a
ship and were delighted when we had already accomplished half of what Kira
would demand of us in order to get her to join the Coalition.

| Side Note: Apparently if you enter the
Pass from the Thronheim side you do not have to make it all the way to Thjorgard.
You just have to get past the first set of Imps. TP out and return to get
