Find the Missing Manuscript

In order to make your way to the Manuscript (Q) Ludwig is pining for you need to make your way to the ladder (L) that decends to the lower section of this map. You could slap on a featherfall spell or use a scroll if you have either and hop down from any of several locations as well.

You will encounter skeletoids, skeletons, a few ickys, and most likely Rotters along the way to the ladder.  You really don't need to enter any of the rooms in order to reach the Manuscript but it great exp and fairly decent loot if you have come down here right after arriving from the Isle of Ashes.

Coffins can hold either an adversary or riches. It was soon discovered that if we killed the Rotters emerging from their coffins before they had a chance to break it apart we would be rewarded with an item. It still breaks apart but the Rotter leaves behind an item as he perishes. They had not been leaving them if we let them emerge fully before attacking and killing them.

There is a skeleton in a moderately difficult to reach area concealing a goodie in the first section, as well as trash piles in the sewer area lying about in the water here and there. Disease is a possibility when rooting about in the trash.

The second section contains a Skeleton Maze with a nice reward at its central point, a +5 permanent boost to each party member's speed attribute. Of the 3 chests here at least one is concealed behind a secret door. Skeletons containing an item lie about on the floor, be careful, no telling what diseases one may acquire from poking about dead bodies.

The map here in the southern section is deceptive. There are at least 3 secret doors that appear as normal wall breaks and there is one area that appears to be clear but actually has a wall blocking your path.
