Instructions for Play

The player is you: At this particular Tavern you begin the game with a tower of 20, a wall of 10, and resources consisting of: 5 Quarries with 30 Bricks, 5 Magic with 30 Gems, & 5 Zoos with 30 Beasts
The hand, consisting of 6 cards, is of course yours. At this point any of the 6 cards may be played since the resource amount required to play each card is available (Note the small number printed in the bubble at the lower right hand side of each card). Cards are color coded to each resource, for example the Work Overtime card is related to the quarries, the Ruby corresponds to magic, & Orc is relative to the zoo
When a card is played (by left clicking on it) its effects are processed according to what is stated on that card, for example:
Work Overtime will add 5 to your wall, but it will cost you 6 gems in addition to the 2 bricks. Earthquake will cost you nothing but both you and your opponent will lose 1 quarry. Tremors will cause 5 damage to both you and your opponent but you have an opportunity for another play, costing you 7 bricks.
Ruby simply adds 5 to your tower, the cost 3 gems. Pearl of Wisdom will add 5 to your tower and increase your magic resource by 1, costing you 9 gems
Orc will cause 5 points of damage to your opponent costing you 3 beasts. At this point it will subtract 5 from his wall, if the wall had been less than five then his tower would sustain damage as well.
If no cards can be played, or if the only playable cards are less than desirable you may discard the most distasteful by right clicking on it. You will get a replacement card, but your turn will be forfeit for the round.
After each round of play the number of your resources are increased by the number of their respective category.  In this example 5 bricks will be added, 1 for each Quarry; 5 gems will be added, 1 for each Magic; 5 beasts will be added, 1 for each Zoo.
Strategies vary, build your tower or resources, destroy the enemy tower, what ever seems to be appropriate at the time. The only advice I can offer is keep an eye on your resources.  I found adding to them every time the opportunity presented itself helped greatly in achieving victory.
