The Emperor's Seal - a Wizardry scenario by Joel Fenton - 1987 Backstreet Software

Wizardry The Emperors Seal v3.1.zip This is the The Emperor's Seal scenario by Joel Fenton, released in 1987.

Note: This is the sequel to Nihonbashi. It is for characters level 13 or so. You can import your characters from Nihonbashi, or other scenarios, but WITHOUT EQUIPMENT since the equipment tables are not the same. Bringing a bit of gold for buying basic armor and weapons is desirable. Make a copy of your scenario disk, or make it write-protect, so that the characters of your source disk are not marked as lost when transferring.

It is in Apple II disk format. You will need an Apple II emulator like AppleWin below.

First, create a folder of your choice such as C:\Games\The-Emperors-Seal where you will unzip the disk images and the Apple II emulator files.

Note that this scenario now uses the newer v3.1 game engine with tons of quality-of-life enhancements, and fixes. See the following link for details:

Ackowledgment Here I would like to give credit to Denis Molony for his WizardryApp. Fixing this scenario's database items, monsters, and maze issues, as well as game balance, would not have been possible without it. I am forever grateful. You can see Denis' Github and download his WizardryApp here: https://github.com/dmolony/WizardryApp

AppleWin This is an Apple IIe emulator for Windows for the above scenario. Unzip it in the same folder you put the game into.

Tip: go into the AppleWin Configuration (joystick/speaker button at bottom right) and remove the check mark in front of "50% Scan Lines" to get better video.
